NACDS is offering optional, one-on-one, state-specific support sessions to assist chain members with their Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP) efforts. Sessions are available every Wednesday, with four 30-minute time slots focused on state-level RHTP pharmacy engagement opportunities.

Arkansas

The application portal for THRIVE (Telehealth, HealthMonitoring and Response Innovation for Vital Expansion) is now officially open. The THRIVE initiative is a core component of the Arkansas Rural Health Transformation Program and is designed to strengthen rural healthcare delivery through expanded telehealth access, enhanced emergency response systems and innovative technology-enabled solutions. All applications must be submitted through the online portal no later than 12:00 pm (CT) on June 12.

Colorado

Two important Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP) events are scheduled for May 26, including a “How to Prepare for this Grant” webinar from 12:00–1:00 pm and an RHTP Advisory Committee meeting from 4:00–5:00 pm. Interested stakeholders are encouraged to register for the webinar in advance. The state also noted that Request for Application (RFA) materials are currently in development, with additional webinars planned to address vendor partnerships and provide guidance on completing future RFA submissions.

Florida

Florida has officially opened multiple Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP) funding opportunities through the MyFloridaMarketplace Vendor Information Portal. The Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) released several Requests for Application (RFAs) focused on preventive care, workforce development, rural access expansion, specialty care, value-based purchasing and chronic disease and lifestyle improvement programs. Members may want to review these opportunities for potential participation related to preventive care delivery, workforce initiatives, rural satellite clinics, chronic disease management, telehealth expansion and value-based care models. Interested stakeholders can access the RFAs through MyFloridaMarketplace under Florida Solicitation Advertisements → Ad Type → Grant Opportunities.

Iowa

The Department of Health and Human Services released RFP# COMPADM26008 Combat Cancer Health Hub Program, Round 2 through IowaGrants.gov. The initiative is intended to establish hub-and-spoke cancer care networks across the state, including rural provider partnerships, telehealth expansion, referral networks, provider recruitment, equipment purchases and infrastructure enhancements supporting cancer care delivery. Mandatory Letters of Intent are due June 3, and full applications are due June 17 by 12:00 pm.

Louisiana

The state announced two upcoming key events for the RHTP program. The state will host a Rural Health Transformation Summit on June 11 with Vendor Registration and Save the Date Registration currently available. Additional RHTP Webinars are scheduled for May 21.  

The Department of Health is currently collecting stakeholder input through a Food as Medicine Interest Survey, which aligns with the program's food pharmacy initiatives under the Innovative Care component.

Tennessee

The Department of Health (TDH) released the first funding opportunity under the state's Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP). The inaugural grant opportunity — Perinatal and Pediatric Behavioral Health Teleconsultation and Education — is open from May 15 through June 15 and will support technology-enabled behavioral health consultation and education services for women, infants and children in rural communities.
